Autodata Solutions Hires Michael Benavides As Director of Business Development
Los Angeles, August 17, 2006 - Autodata Solutions, a leading provider of automotive content, research, software tools and technology implementation services, today announced the addition of Michael S. Benavides, an established automotive industry expert specializing in vehicle data, as its new Director of Business Development. The appointment is effective immediately.
As an established automotive industry expert specializing in vehicle data, Mr. Benavides is a key addition to Autodata’s team. "Michael is an outstanding businessman and has a very strong understanding of the automotive industry," said Greg Perrier, CEO of Autodata Solutions. "He brings the experience necessary to help clients meet all of their automotive content needs."
Prior to joining Autodata Solutions, Mr. Benavides served as Director of Business Development & Syndication for Edmunds.com, Inc., a producer of automotive research websites and distributor of automotive data and content. During his tenure at Edmunds.com, Inc., Mr. Benavides was instrumental in establishing Edmunds Information Solutions division and was responsible for new product development, marketing strategy, nationwide sales and licensing, and competitive intelligence. From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Benavides served as Director of Business Development of AutoFusion Corporation as a member of its founding team. He was responsible for corporate strategy and sales as well as developing partnerships that were instrumental to AutoFusion Corporation’s launch. Mr. Benavides was also a part of the success of CarPrices.com and the auto industry’s first affiliate marketing program. Mr. Benavides holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science from the University of California, San Diego.
